Coffee Chat: Zembrodt House

  • 31 May 2014

  • in Covington

Built on the site of former “twin” mid century homes of twin sisters, the Kenton Hills, Kentucky home of Gerry and Tony Zembrodt was designed with the environment in mind.

Because this home has a panoramic view of Cincinnati and the surrounding hillsides, Michael McInturf, the architect, did a wind study of the site prior to designing the home to take full advantage of the solar gain in the winter and the breeze in the summer months.

Other environmental friendly features include an underground cistern that collects the rainwater and a geo thermal system.

Concrete, clean lines and lots of glass along with creative landscaping create an interesting and visually exciting addition to this location.
