ASM Founder and Curator Tod Swormstedt will speak on evolution of
signs in the 1950s. "The merging of the old world of neon with the new
modern material of plastic."
Since its opening in early 2004, the museum has been featured in
newspaper stories from coast to coast. Housed within the Essex Studios
building in Walnut Hills, the American Sign Museum features a timeline
history of the sign industry and "Signs on Main Street, " a life-size
sampling of vintage storefronts. There's also a "sign gallery" of
free-standing and hanging/projecting signs arranged by historic era.
We'll end with a short cf3 general business meeting.
This event carries an admission charge -- $10 per member or $15 for
two members. All proceeds will be split with ASM. Bring a non-member
friend to join at the door, respond to Janet Groeber,
