The Boulter House 50th Birthday Celebration PDF Print E-mail

The Frank Lloyd Wright home in Clifton celebrated its 50th birthday in 2006. At the event Abrom Dombar attended and told the group stories about his work at Taliesin. Copies of Abrom's autobiography were available for the members. Abrom told the story about how he was the one that went below and removed the concrete forms from Falling Water.

Many new members were signed up and parts of a new book on Frank Lloyd Wright were read by Abrom's daughter, April. Several other members of the Abrom Dombar family were there and shared stories about family life with a Taliesin fellow. Every summer the family would travel to Wright homes. Abrom was one of the first Wright fellows. He saw Mr. Wright speak at a realtor conference in Cincinnati and went to Taliesin to study. Later his brother, Ben, joined him. Abron and Ben Dombar worked for many years with Wright and returned to Cincinnati to practice architecture. Hundreds of homes in the area were designed by the brothers.
